Frequently Asked Questions

I offer a free 20-minute introductory call to see if we’re a good fit. This is an opportunity for us to discuss what brings you to therapy, your goals, and any initial questions you might have. It’s also a chance for us to get a sense of whether our personalities and approaches are a good match. If so, we then schedule a full session to begin your therapeutic journey.
Sessions typically last 45 to 50 minutes. This duration allows us to explore your thoughts and feelings in depth while providing enough time to wrap up the session comfortably.
The number of sessions varies depending on your unique needs and goals. Some clients find a few sessions helpful, while others may prefer longer-term support. We’ll periodically review your progress to ensure we’re meeting your goals effectively.
Yes, confidentiality is a cornerstone of our work together. Everything you share is private and protected, with a few exceptions required by law (such as risks of harm to yourself or others). I’ll go over these in detail in our first session.
The initial 20-minute consultation is free. The price of a full 50-minute session is 90 euros. This includes all administrative costs. For exceptions, I use a sliding scale.
My sessions are not covered by Dutch insurance, though some international providers may reimburse a portion of the fees on a pay-then-claim basis. Working independently from insurance allows for a more personalized approach, offering flexibility in session frequency, duration, and the ability to pursue longer-term goals tailored to your unique needs.
You can book an appointment by contacting me via the form available under “Contact me“. I’ll be in touch to arrange a convenient time for your session.
Therapy can be beneficial for anyone seeking to understand themselves better, manage stress, cope with specific issues, or make positive changes. If you’re unsure, feel free to book a consultation, and we can explore whether this feels like the right fit for you.
I ask that you provide at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule a session. In this case, you will not be charged for the session. Cancellations less than 24 hours before the session incur a cancellation fee of 100% the cost of the session.
Yes, it’s completely normal to feel a bit nervous, especially if it’s your first time in therapy. My goal is to create a supportive, non-judgmental space where you can feel comfortable being yourself. There’s no right or wrong way to experience therapy, and we’ll go at a pace that feels right for you.
As a small practice, I am limited in the facilities that I can provide. Certain struggles require a different set of skills or personnel support. In this way, I am not able to help people who present with:
– Acute suicidality
– Severe Anorexia Nervosa with BMI < 17
– Severe addiction disorders
– Severe aggression
– Psychotic features
– Are under the age of 17
